SEO Scores and Index Status on Your Posts List

A report only helps if you open it. CrawlWP puts your SEO data where you already look: an SEO score beside every post on your posts list and, with Premium, index status and search data in the post editor, on your posts list, and on your dashboard.

What it does

What CrawlWP adds to your posts list, editor, and dashboard

See which posts need work, which ones search engines have indexed, and which ones bring in clicks, without opening a report.

SEO scores with check badges, plus index status and search data, on the WordPress posts list

SEO score column

Free. A badge for each check and an overall score beside every post.

T, D and K

The SEO title, the meta description, and the focus keyword.

I, F, and S

Find weak posts fast

Low scores stand out as you scroll, so you know what to fix first.

Writing and reach together

The score checks the writing and whether search engines can use the page.

No extra screen

The column sits on the posts list you already use.

Index status per engine

Premium. Google, Bing, and Yandex status for each post, in the CrawlWP Details column.

Search data per post

Premium. Clicks, impressions, and average position beside each post.

Status and search data are collected in the background and stored in your database.

Top keywords for each post

Premium. The searches that bring each post its impressions and clicks.

Why it matters

See SEO data where you work

Reports only help if you look at them, and most people forget. Your posts list, editor, and dashboard are screens you already see every week.

With CrawlWP, those screens show which posts need work, which ones search engines have indexed, and which ones bring in visitors.

  • Spot posts with a missing title, description, or keyword
  • Catch posts set to noindex by mistake
  • See which posts are indexed on Google, Bing, and Yandex
  • Find posts that get impressions but few clicks
  • See which keywords bring each post its traffic
  • Check your site’s search performance each time you log in

How it works

Use your SEO stats in three steps

The SEO column works as soon as you install CrawlWP. The rest needs Premium and a connected search engine.

Step 1

Read the SEO column

Every post shows seven badges and a score. Open a post and use the SEO metabox to fix what is missing.

Step 2

Connect your search engines

With Premium, connect Google, Bing, and Yandex on the API Settings tab. Your posts list and the post editor then show index status and search data.

Step 3

Check the dashboard widget

See 28 days of search performance and your Google indexing status each time you log in.

In the post editor

Search data for each post, while you edit

With CrawlWP, you can see how a post in WordPress performs without leaving it. Two places show its data: the editor sidebar and the Insights tab of the SEO metabox.

CrawlWP Stats in the editor sidebar

A quick summary in the Post panel of the block editor.

  • Index status on Google, Bing, and Yandex, with a link beside each one
  • Google clicks, impressions, average CTR, and average position for the last 28 days
  • A button to open the detailed analytics

The Insights tab in the SEO metabox

The full picture for the WordPress post or page, in the SEO metabox below the editor.

  • Switch between Google, Bing, and Yandex
  • Choose the period, such as the last 28 days
  • Clicks, impressions, average position, and CTR for the post
  • The top keywords that bring the post its traffic, with clicks, impressions, position, and CTR for each
  • Google index status, with the dates of the last index check and the last index submission

The dashboard widget

Your SEO at a glance on the dashboard

With CrawlWP Premium, the WordPress dashboard shows your search performance and Google indexing status together, every time you log in.

  • Clicks, impressions, average CTR, and average position for the last 28 days
  • The change in each number from the previous 28 days
  • Google indexing status: indexed, indexed by CrawlWP, in progress, and not indexed
  • Links to the full SEO reports and the indexing manager

Questions

SEO stats questions

Answers to the questions people ask most about SEO scores and stats in WordPress.

What do the letters in the SEO column mean?

T is the SEO title, D the meta description, and K the focus keyword. I and F show whether the page is set to be indexed and its links followed. S shows whether it has a social share image, and N whether it was sent through IndexNow. The number is the overall score.

Is the SEO column free?

Yes. The SEO score column is part of CrawlWP Lite. The CrawlWP Details column, the editor stats, and the dashboard widget are part of CrawlWP Premium.

Why does the SEO score include indexing checks?

Because a well-written page still needs search engines to use it. A page set to noindex will not appear in search, no matter how good the writing is.

Where does the index status come from?

From the search engines you connect in CrawlWP Premium: Google, Bing, and Yandex.

Can I see search data for a single post?

Yes, with Premium. Open the post: the editor sidebar shows its index status and 28 days of Google search data, and the Insights tab of the SEO metabox shows its clicks, impressions, position, CTR, and top keywords on Google, Bing, or Yandex.

Does it slow down my posts list?

No. CrawlWP collects index status and search data in the background on a schedule and stores it in your own database.

Can I hide the columns?

Yes. Use Screen Options at the top of the posts list, as with any other column.
